Azymuth "Fenix"

Azymuth, the legendary Brazilian jazz funk band, are back with their 26th studio album and they did not skip a beat. "Fenix" is their first album in five years and their first album without their partner, keyboard wizard José Roberto Bertrami who passed away in 2012. Adding Kiko Continentino to the group, a keyboardist who's played with many of the Brazil's music legends including Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil and Djavan, the trio brings forth the jazz funk and fusion sounds that is synonymous with their brand. In their 45 years as unit, they definitely have to be the most consistent and timeless group of musicians still recording. Check out a few selections from the new album and cop it below.
